India's leading tyre manufacturer, CEAT aims at making mobility much safer by providing the essential gear that is CEAT Shield of Safety' to auto rickshaw drivers throughout the country.
The primary aim of the company is to make commutes safe and sound for both drivers as well as their customers hence the manufacturer is providing 'CEAT Shield of Safety' which is basically a safety kit consisting of protective barrier for reducing or restricting contact between the driver and passenger. The kit also includes isolation cover which is to be placed inside the auto, surface cleaner and sanitizer along with bottle holder, gloves and masks.
Mr. Amit Tolani, Chief Marketing Officer, CEAT Tyres Ltd said, "With apprehensions amongst the commuters on preferring public transport options this initiative will help auto rickshaw drivers to solve their problems of not getting any rides during the Unlock phase.

H further added that, "with the ‘CEAT Shield of Safety’ we are trying our best to ensure safety of the auto rickshaw community as well as the passengers. With this in place already, we are planning to explore similar initiatives in other verticals of commuter segments and in various parts of the country."
In addition to the safety kit, CEAT is also providing collateral with details on how to sanitize the vehicle and how to ensure the customers safety while riding. These aspects will make sure that the customer will have a safe and healthy journey.
Many such initiatives have been taken care by CEAT India. Recently, due to the unfortunate pandemic crisis, CEAT tyres announced that the company is going to involve in the personal protective equipment (PPE) segment with the launch of anti-pollution S95 mask- GoSafe amid increase in the COVID-19 pandemic cases in the country.
