Tyre check ups are often ignored by several service stations who are always service your bike in a rush. Many times crucial indications of tyre wear and damage are missed by mechanics which could potentially spell disaster for you later on. Moreover, people themselves also are not aware of what signs to look out for that indicate problems with your tyres. This is precisely why the stalls set up by HP and TVS to have trained professions use scientific and objective techniques to check your tyre health.
The initiative by HP comes at the backdrop of recent revelations about the number of accidents caused by misfit and old tyres in India. A number believed to be as high as 12-13% of all automobile accidents in the Indian subcontinent. Similar initiatives have also being carried out by ATMA( Automobile Tyre Manufacturer Association) and RSDC (Rubber Skill Development Council) in the form of awareness campaigns and schemes to train tyre mechanics who have such knowledge.
The check is only applicable for two wheelers and is only available in select petrol pumps across major cities. Click here to find out the nearest petrol pump and Petrol Price in Delhi today where you can get your free health check-up as well.
