The Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R set a new record at the iconic Nurburgring track in Germany with the new Audi RS 3, demonstrating the potential of Pirelli's most sporty street tyre. On the 20.8-kilometre track, the Audi achieved a new record of 7m40.748s, surpassing the previous mark for tiny vehicles set in 2019, by 4.64 seconds.
The Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tyres, in sizes 265/30Z R19 at the front and 245/35Z R19 at the back, were also instrumental in achieving this record. The bigger front tyres play a key role in boosting the driving experience and giving it a livelier feel.
TAILOR-MADE P ZERO TROFEO R TYRES FOR ROAD AND TRACK
Pirelli's engineers collaborated with Audi engineers to create a bespoke version of the P Zero Trofeo R for the new RS 3: track tyres that are also homologated for road use, based on Pirelli's experience in leading global motorsport championships. This tyre incorporates cutting-edge technology, particularly in terms of compound, structure, and tread pattern, to provide the highest possible performance on both the road and the track. The tread pattern, for example, is designed to favour straight-line stability while also decreasing braking distances and enhancing lateral grip through turns.

These tyres are manufactured at Pirelli's Izmit factory in Turkey, which also produces race tyres for all of Pirelli's various motorsport championships, using the same technology and equipment that is used to manufacture state-of-the-art motorsport tyres.
P ZERO: EVERYDAY PERFORMANCE ALONGSIDE RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT:
The legendary P Zero is an alternative to the P Zero Trofeo R tyre, which is meant for everyday usage by drivers who aren't interested in track days. This tyre blends speed, sportiness, and control without sacrificing performance. P Zero is designed to complement the Audi RS 3's sporting nature while also being environmentally friendly: the structure and materials of these tyres have been designed to optimise rolling resistance, earning it an "A" rating on the European tyre label, with reduced fuel consumption and environmental benefits.

Pirelli's virtual design and simulation technology was also used in the creation of this tyre, which cut development time in order to respond more rapidly to Audi's requirements and provided further environmental benefits by requiring fewer physical prototypes. The AO symbol on the sidewall indicates that these bespoke tyres were built to measure for Audi in accordance with Pirelli's "perfect fit" approach.
