Leading solid tyre manufacturer 'Maxam Tire' has started a new facility with fully automated equipment and machines which is suitable for solid tyre production.
What are solid tyres?
Solid tyres are non-pneumatic or airless tyres. There is no requirement to fill air in solid tyres since they are not made like normal pneumatic tyres and is constructed in a different way.
Solid tyres are usually used for industrial applications. They can be seen fitted to forklifts and such heavy-duty equipment.
The factory which has been recently opened is fully owned and operated by Maxam tyre manufacturing company. The manufacturer says that the opening of this unit is the evidence of the company's commitment to the solid tyre market. The manufacturer has further plans to expand its reach and market.
