Formula one race car driver, Lewis Hamilton is not happy with the tyres and states that the tyres are basically like "Balloons" after himself and his team mate Valtteri Bottas suffered from major tyre damage.
Hamilton mentioned that he is nervous after he had a tough challenge to finish the race on three tyres since his left-front tyre had got a puncture in the last week's British Grand Prix. He mentioned that he is afraid whether the tyre could blow out after the bad experience he had with Pirelli tyres.
The race at Silverstone was dramatic since three teams had the same fate of losing the left-front tyre. Pirelli had considered the matter and decided to increase the pressure and make the tyres further soft than the ones used in the British Grand Prix.
The Mercedes team saw Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas take second and third, moving away from their dominance that they had for years in Formula One. Max Verstappen saw his first season win and ninth win in his career. Losing the team's dominance has made Mercedes upset.

Hamilton said, "It was a massive challenge today, and congratulations to Max and his teams since they did a great job."

He further added,"My strategy was far from ideal and there are lots to learn from today. It was an opportunity to win, from pole, and I had an opportunity to keep up with Max, but as soon as I started to push, the tyres just fell apart. Blistering was an issue for us and it seemed that Red Bull had none, so they had an edge."
He mentioned that the tyres boiled so much that they started to have holes in them which is not a good thing. Hamilton is not sure whether other teams faced similar problems. However, he stated that the team had to find a solution to the tyre problem.
Lewis Hamilton also mentioned that he has done his best as well as his team members and he believes that the team will sort the problem out once and for all.
