Leading tyre manufacturer, Hankook Tyre and Revvo Technologies, a smart tyre technology company have confirmed that they are partnering to provide the best in class tyre data gathering technology for Junk King which is one of the largest junk removal fleets.
Hankook stated that it is "researching innovative ways to improve" its commercial truck tyres and technology" at different levels in order to provide the best performance that is in terms of fuel economy figures, safety and durability."
Specifically, Hankook will provide its SmartFlex tyres to 30% of Junk King's trucks in California.
Hankook Tyre data technology will function in the following manner:
The tyres will consist of tyre sensors that will capture real-time data, which "is processed and turned into actionable insights, including predicted tread life, abnormal tyre behavior, (and) optimal tyre maintenance intervals and settings," as well as real-time alerts.
