Hankook Tyre, one of the leading tyre manufacturers has achieved an A-score by CDP- Carbon Disclosure Project, for their efforts to conserve and protect the environment and play a major role in the "Climate Change" sector. This achievement is in regard to the company's commitment to focus on sustainability management.
Hankook Tyre received an A-score by CDP as per their 2020 scoring results, as the company demonstrated leadership in environmental sustainability. The scoring is provided to companies which are recognized with excellent performance in climate change response activities, environmental risk management. It is based on the aforementioned details that a company can attain such scoring.
Furthermore, Hankook is considering to incorporate and focus on not only the production process but also in R&D. For example, Hankook has minimized the rolling resistance of tyres to improve fuel efficiency of vehicles and ultimately reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The company also takes the lead in activities such as calculating greenhouse gas mitigation amounts into monetary value and reflecting it in the investment process.
