Following its return to the skies last year, the Goodyear Blimp will visit many more towns and events in 2021, including Slovenia that is in Ljubljana, Lesce, and Bled.
The Goodyear Blimp will approach Slovenia on July 20 after a tour of northern Italy that includes flyovers over Verona, Padua, Venice, and Trieste. The renowned Blimp will visit Ljubljana, Lesce, and Bled on July 21. Following the celebration, the legendary airship will embark on an Alpine journey, travelling through Graz, Wiener Neustadt, Wels, Munich, and Memmingen on July 22 and 23.
A Goodyear-branded Zeppelin NT semi-rigid airship operates in Europe as the Blimp. This model is currently the world's largest of its kind. The tyre manufacturer's brand ambassador mentioned that the blimp which has been seen in the skies since the 1910s, not only gives once-in-a-lifetime experiences but it is also employed to cover big racing events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Malachy Tuohy, Head of Communications, Consumer Europe, said that “We’re really happy to bring the Goodyear Blimp to Slovenia. The famous airship will fly over the capital of Slovenia as well as Lesce and Bled, allowing citizens to spot the legendary airship in the sky.”
