Pirelli has made the front tyre of the Ducati Superleggera V4 with a single compound because it allows the tyre to warm up rapidly and provide traction in any type of condition. The rear tyre uses two compounds which is basically a racing compound that forms the shoulders of the tyre actually developed for the FIM superbike World Championship. The sidewalls are rounded which is the result of a redesigned tyre structure. The appearance of the tyres are also a delight to the viewer since a special colour is used to present the red Pirelli and Diablo logo.
The WSBK derived materials and structure provides the performance that the bike requires. The low carcass deformation ratio ensures increased agility and improved handling. The long longitudinal groove ensures better wear regularity and consistency in performance output.
The Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP front tyre comes sized 120/70 ZR 17 M/C (58W) TL - SP while the rear tyres come in different sizes such as 180/55 ZR 17 M/C (73W) TL - SP, 190/55 ZR 17 M/C (75W) TL - SP, 200/55 ZR 17 M/C (78W) TL - SP.
