Leading global tyre manufacturer, Bridgestone has announced a new partnership with the Indy Autonomous Challenge (IAC), a global competition among university teams to program a modified Dallara IL-15 race car. The teams will then compete in the world’s first autonomous high-speed, head-on-head race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS).
Bridgestone has also stated that they are the exclusive tyre supplier for the event, which is scheduled for October 23, 2021.

Bridgestone is keen to work with the IAC and its participating teams. The company aims to push the boundaries of self-driving car technology and increase public awareness of the big impact that automation can have on society.
