A growing number of car manufacturers are opting for Apollo Tyres' premium Vredestein brand products as standard fit, bolstering the Dutch tyre company's position in the European OE segment.
At this juncture, Vredestein Ultrac and Sportrac summer tyres from Apollo Tyres have been chosen as original equipment (OE) for the Audi A1 Sportback, with factory fitment on selected versions. The tyres chosen by Audi will be produced at Apollo Tyres' facilities in Hungary and will be available in two sizes: 15-inch for the Sportrac (185/65 R15 V) and 17-inch for the Ultrac (215/45 R17 W).
Audi and Apollo Tyres partnered on a tyre research effort that aimed to reduce rolling resistance. This has aided in the selection of Vredestein tyres that improve the efficiency and dynamic characteristics of the Audi A1 Sportback. Thus, Apollo Tyres' continued research and development efforts for OE fitment products have benefited in the selection of Vredestein tyres.

Both the Ultrac and Sportrac summer tyres provide outstanding wet and dry driving performance, as well as high levels of comfort and a quieter ride - all of which are important to the premium automaker. Both the Ultrac and Sportrac will be available on the replacement market to help Audi A1 Sportback customers in the long run.
