Vibha Tomar, a young veterinary student and founder of a charitable organisation in Delhi, India decided to get tyre-beds for stray dogs as an act of kindness.
The year 2020 has not only been tough for us humans but also for animals. The cold and dreadful winds have been taunting the street dogs too. One must understand the fact that it is difficult for them to find a cozy space to simply save themselves from the harsh climate.
Tomar claims that these tyre-beds have been provided to nearly 100 stray dogs with the help from her organisation named Oscar for Life.
When asked as to how she got this idea, Tomar replied that it was an idea she got from a social media post in which she saw a man making beautiful tyre-beds for his dog. “Since the winter season began, I thought I should do something to stray animals so that they can survive this winter. I saw a person on Instagram who had made a beautiful bed out of a tyre for his pet and thought it was a good way to protect strays in this cold winter, so I also started to collect tyres,” she said.

“The animals are okay during the day but the night gets too cold for them. I have covered 100 animals so far and am very positive that this will have a positive effect on strays,” she said.
Delhi has been encountering harsh weather conditions and the minimum temperature is expected to further drop to 3 to 4 degree Celsius with harsh winds. It was time that someone stepped in and wore the cape of heroism to protect these humble and loyal creatures that we often tend to ignore.

Tyre-beds for stray dogs is indeed a fascinating idea which could revolutionize the world in terms of bringing harmony.
We at TyrePlex feel extremely happy that people are being humble and kind to these stray animals since we all know that 2020 was not the year that most of us wanted it to be. At a harsh time like this, people are quite worried about themselves which is natural, however, thinking beyond themselves has definitely proven that humanity has not simmered down in the hearts of many among us.
