TPMS Service Devices from Continental Now with 3-Year Update License

Continental is extending the update licence for its service devices for tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) from one to three years, demonstrating its commitment to staying on the cutting edge of technology.

The TPMS Update Plus workshop from the technology business will deliver monthly database updates for TPMS Pro and TPMS Go service devices, guaranteeing that TPMS sensor testing and programming devices are always up to date. Workshops that utilise these devices to check, programme, or teach TPMS sensors will always have the most up-to-date information for their tyre services – which is a significant benefit because new TPMS sensor protocols are introduced with each new car model.

"We see ourselves as a partner to the workshops, and we want to support them with our products, which will enable them to remain competitive and fit for the future. Today, good tools alone are just not enough; you also need up-to-date data to be able to maintain and repair the latest vehicles,” explains Dominik Wrede, Head of Product Management for Diagnostics & Services at Continental. “And to emphasize the importance of up-to-date vehicle coverage data, we are now offering an extended, 3-year update license for our TPMS devices.” The offer will expire at the end of this year.

Handy, compact and tailored to user needs

Continental's TPMS Go and TPMS Pro provide workshops with the best tools for their specific tyre services. The TPMS Go is an excellent entry-level device for workshops that want to learn more about TPMS for the first time. The TPMS Go is also an excellent second unit for individuals who already own a TPMS service unit.

The TPMS Pro, on the other hand, is ideal for workshops looking for sophisticated capabilities like sensor teaching via the OBD-II interface. Both servicing devices include a clear, straightforward user interface that makes workshop staff's tyre responsibilities considerably easier.

Continental has more in store for the TPMS Pro and TPMS Go service units than just an extended update licence. Both devices will be sold under the Continental name in the future as part of the transition from VDO to Continental in the spare parts sector. The items themselves will remain unchanged, and workshops can rely on Continental's well-established top quality. The new brand identity is intended to bolster the Continental brand's technological knowledge and know-how, which is well-known in the aftermarket.
