The world's first all-electric sports car, Porsche Taycan gets fitted with Hankook tyres named Ventus S1 evo 3 ev tyres. The car is known for being a high-performance, all-electric machine capable of reaching triple digit speeds. The sporty design elements and the car being environmental friendly has truly hit the right spot in the hearts of the customers who wish to buy a performance machine which is electric.
The Porsche Taycan will receive tyres that are sized 225/ 55 R19 XL 103Y in the front while the rear gets 275/45 R19 XL 108Y tyres. Hankook states that the Ventus S1 evo 3 EV tyres will proudly showcase the Porsche NFO symbol on the sidewall of the tyres. They also mentioned that the tyres will have the refinement that an electric sports car must require.
Hyunjun Cho, head of Hankook's OE tyres said that Hankook is proud to equip the world's first all electric sports car with their tyres. Providing original equipment tyres for sports or premium vehicles has been a tradition at Hankook.

Hankook mentioned that the tread pattern is designed in a unique manner to reduce the noise from tyres since the car does not have an engine that will produce noise meaning that the car will remain silent and the tyre noise will also be not heard thus providing a smooth ride.
Hankook says that they have made sure to meet the high performance demand of the electric vehicle. The bead of the tyres is said to be reinforced with something they call as the 'Bead-packing technology' and the tyres are said to have high-lateral stiffness which will provide precise handling even at high speeds.
Moonhwa Hong, Vice president of the Original equipment development department says that the development team has moved to a completely new dimension which has made Hankook proud.
He added that the engineers have gone through a "special challenge" since they had to solve the issues to create a high performance tyre that can match the performance of Porsche's Taycan. Hankook says that this would not have been possible without the expertise and the latest technologies.
Hankook developers stated that they have discovered a better vulcanization process that balances the temperature, pressure etc. Hankook says that, as a result of this process, the Ventus S1 evo 3 ev achieves improved durability up to 30 percent compared to standard tread compound. Hankook says that the abrasion resistance has imporved significantly by 5 percent compared to the conventional tyres models. Also, the rolling resistance was improved by 13 percent.
