Italian tyre manufacturing company Pirelli claims that their latest generation Cinturato P7 tyres can adapt to different driving conditions and temperatures. They believe it is a technological advancement for the tyre industry.
The previous generation P7 was primarily a summer tyre and was not suited for lower temperatures. However, the new tyre has changes to the compound which allows the Cinturato P7 to work in different conditions and temperatures.
According to Pirelli, the new Cinturato P7 is enriched with specific resins and silica which helps to increase grip and enhance the polymers of the tyre. These materials used resulted in the change of characteristics according to the different temperatures while maintaining consistent level of traction.

According to Pirelli, the new Cinturato P7 which is designed for luxury cars has characteristics such as bump absorption and reduction in road noise. The company says that the priority is given to create low rolling resistance for better fuel economy.
The new Cinturato P7 is approved for sale in markets by automakers to be used in 23 specific vehicle applications. Considering its predecessor which has 100 homolgations, it is a good beginning. The tyre is also available in the form of run flat and with pirelli's special seal inside feature too.
The Cinturato P7 Pirelli has made a great step forward with no pollutant additive used during the production process which now will not be dispersed into the environment during the complete usage of the tyre. It also reduces CO2 emissions through the reduction of the resistance of your tyre when the tyre is rolling on the tarmac. It also produces less noise and gives good fuel economy. One could even state that this tyre is an all rounder.
Pirelli's new P7 tires are scheduled to launch soon and we just might get them for the Indian markets too.
