Most Badass Alloy Wheel Designs Available For The Kia Seltos

The Kia Seltos just got a whole lot meaner all thanks to some of the sickest aftermarket alloys out there. These alloys bless the already dashing vehicle with an added masculinity and a droolworthy finish. The car almost looks "complete" with the after market alloys, almost like it was missing something, that has now been rectified.

The stock rim size of the Kia Seltos are 16-inch alloy wheels for the base trim while the higher trims of the Seltos get the 17-inch alloy wheels. Kia does offer optional upgrades to buy amazing OEM alloy wheels but they're definitely more expensive as compared to their aftermarket counterparts. So for those of you looking to pimp your Seltos, here are the best aftermarket designs for you to pick for the Kia Seltos:

Tuning Fork Design

The tuning fork design is basically a double spoked design with five such sets of spokes present in the alloys. You can get this in different finishes and colours. Some of them include: the matte black finish, machined black finish, the gunmetal finish which is also quite common as well as the black satin/gloss finishes.

Mesh/Tuning Fork Design With Inside Ring/Underlip

Another one of our favorites would be the alloys with colored underlips/rings. These wheels come with an internal glossy ring/underlip that is present behind the wheel spokes. The underlip is a secondary lip of a different color that is visible behind the outer lip of the wheel. Its smaller in diameter than the outer lip but is much more thicker and prominent in appearance.

Concave Wheels

Concave wheels are designed with spokes that curve inwards towards the hub center of the wheel. The curve is easily noticeable if you lay the wheel face up and flat on the ground. The cosmetic face of the wheel forms a concave bowl shape. When on the car, that bowl shape curves inward towards the car's suspension, giving your car that extra "oomph" factor. Most concave wheels will have a very shallow dish or even no dish at all, in order to maximize this curvature. Some concave wheels also come with a stepped up lip which have special redesigned centers with extra-long spokes that reach beyond the normal rim register.

We suggest that you be extremely careful if you plan to upsize your tyres (increase rim size) while you upgrade the alloy wheels. Upsizing comes with its own downsides like suspension issues, electronic system malfunctions, decline in ride quality and comfort etc. So either stick to your default rim size or do your research well before you upsize. Buying aftermarket allows of your default rim size is definitely safe and will not have any effect on your vehicle. The only thing they might do though is make people very very jealous of you ;D
