MG ZS EV tyres: all you need to know

Morris Garages is all set to launch their second product for India, the all-electric ZS SUV. This is being projected as India's first Internet-ready electric SUV and will rub shoulders with the Hyundai Kona. We drove this car recently and here is all you need to know about MG ZS EV tyres.

The MG ZS electric SUV comes with Michelin tyres mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels. The size of the tyre is 215/50 which means it has a width of 215mm with a relatively lower profile or low aspect ratio of 50. The exact name of the tyre is Michelin Primacy 3 ST. This tyre is known to offer low levels of road noise and a higher tyre life.

The MG ZS EV tyres come with a rated payload of 615kg each. The maximum permissible tyre pressure stands at 51 PSI. On the media drive event, the tyres were filled at a pressure of about 36-37 PSI, more or less good enough for an electric car. The treadwear rating stands at 340 and both the Traction and Temperature values are excellent, being rated at A each.

The spare tyre on the MG ZS EV is a space saver one and should be used as minimal as possible. Do note that this car comes with on-board tyretronics which helps the driver to keep an eye on the correct tyre pressure. The vehicle, when launched, will be priced in the Rs 20-23 lakh bracket.
