Maxxis announces official sponsorship of team Tim Coronel for the Dakar Rally in 2020
Maxxis Tyres, one of the world's largest tyre companies with a presence in 180 countries, released an official statement regarding sponsorship in the Dakar Rally, 2020. The largest two-wheeler manufacturer will be the lead sponsor and tyre provider to the Dutch team led by Tim Coronel.
With joint efforts and after a year of preparation, the 47-year-old twin brothers Tim and Tom Coronel will be back in 2020 for the Dakar Rally to be held on the 5th of January. Its taken almost a year for the twins to prepare for the rally and Maxxis has been their rock throughout their journey.
The rally will require drivers to cover a total length of 9,000 kilometers in different landscapes of Saudi Arabia. The rally will commence in Jeddah, where a gateway to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina will become a launchpad for the participants of the rally. The rally will culminate on 17th January, and award ceremony will take place in Al Qiddiya.
Speaking about the partnership,Mr. Bing Lin Wu, Marketing Head, Maxxis Tyres India, commented:

Since 2011, Maxxis has succesfully cooperated with Reedijk Banden Import BV (official Maxxis distributor in the Benelux – member of the Van den Ban group), their Maxxis ambassador Tim Coronel and the Dutch Maxxis Tech Center Uden in the Netherlands. The partnership has helped the company successfully increase their brand awareness in several countries. Furthermore, the rally also offers a great opportunity for the company to test out their tyres and see how good a match they are to their competition.

Maxxis "The Beast"
The Rally is known for its extreme weather conditions and tough terrains. The circumstances offer no time for teams to change tyres and no place to stock them during the stages.
