Linglong Tyre Drift team Orange, sponsored by Shandong Linglong Tyre Co., Ltd. (Linglong) won the championship in the D1 Grand Prix race held at Tsukuba Circuit Course 2000 in Japan's Ibaraki Prefecture.
Masanori Kobashi of Linglong Tyre Drift Team Orange has completely conquered the final round of the 2020 season D1 Grand Prix and was crowned for the first time as a series champion. “We are tremendously proud of winning the race. We would like to thank all participants, organisers and fans for making the event happen, despite delays in the initial schedule for D1GP 2020 due to the pandemic," Masanori remarks.
In two decades since its inception, the Japan D1 Grand Prix is a production car drifting series that is currently the world's top international drifting competition with strong influence. Every year, drifting masters come together to show off their chops in this sport of control, where they seek to manipulate the brakes, steering and throttle in an agile manner to keep the car in an oversteer position while maintaining absolute control, and shifting the weight of the car between corners.
In tandem with its growing popularity worldwide, the sport has grown its reputation also, with competitions such as the D1GP held in high regard amongst its fans.

Linglong Tyre Drift Team was established in 2019 out of passion for motor sport and has made its first appearance in the D1GP 2019 arena. “D1GP 2020 marks Linglong Tyre’s second year of participation and we are honored to win the chamionship in a worldclass event as such.
