Global Rubber Industries Pvt. Ltd. (GRI) has been known for its crucial community work. GRI continues its community outreach efforts by conducting two major events which included plans for the betterment of the natural rubber farming communities in Sri Lanka.
GRI officials and its representatives have been distributing volleyball, cricket equipment and also badminton kits to schools located in the town named Monaragala as community outreach efforts. In addition to these equipment, they have provided students with school bags and stationary kits.
According to GRI, these events are part of the tyre manufacturer's GreenX Circle initiative.
"GRI recognizes the importance of smallholder farmers in Sri Lanka and the unique challenges their communities face," says GRI CEO Dr. Mahesha Ranasoma.

"Our GreenX Circle initiative helps improve the socio-economic status of Sri Lankan rubber farmers by ensuring fair compensation for their produce and giving them the foundation to expand and innovate in rubber cultivation.
"GRI works with the community to provide solutions for their challenges as the GreenX Circle is focused on sustainability and taking on a holistic, long-term approach.
"As we keep building the foundation of the GreenX Circle in Sri Lanka, it is a privilege to be able to support the farmer community by assisting schools and students," says Prabhash Subasinghe, the company's managing director.
"These are small beginnings of a long journey to show our gratitude to the hardworking farmers who are the heart of our nation," he adds.
