An analysis done on how men and women are different when it come to changing a tyre shows that two in five women have never changed a tyre while 80 percent state that they lack the confidence to do it, compared to one in ten men. However, these numbers will not matter anymore since men and women are now completely capable to change a tyre with confidence thanks to the introduction of a new game named 'Tyres on the drive' which gives both men and women a helping hand in mechanics department.
The game is pioneered by Halfords and requires people to virtually change a tyre without making mistakes or skipping any step. It includes stages such as selecting the right tool, unscrewing the nut and placing the jack correctly to lift the car up.

The game sounds easy but you should know that this task easily made 7,884 people try changing a tyre and despite the confidence in themselves, 9 out of the 10 mark has failed to complete the process without making any kind of mistake. It is shocking to see the data which was collected because it showed 82 percent of people had changed a punctured tyre before and yet failed to complete the game.
As a matter of fact, it was found that the women who have never changed a tyre before knew what are the tools to pick for changing a tyre when compared with men. 83 percent of women who had experience chose the correct tools for the first time compared to 79 percent of men. It is clear from the data that women could change tyres independently without help from a man.
It was figured out that women lacked confidence and experience however these factors did not let it affect their performance. The data collected through the game shows that 7 per cent of women completed the task without making a single mistake, compared to 9 per cent of men who even with some experience failed. Women completed all stages correctly which men with experience in changing a tyre could not perform.
