At the 2021 International Motor Film Awards, the Falken film "Whatever Comes Our Way" received Best Event Film. The renowned prize was handed to one of two Falken productions nominated this year: ‘Pass the Wheel,' starring Peter Dumbreck in a classic Porsche 911, was nominated for Best Journalistic Film at a gala event in London.
The winning film was shot in September 2020, during what was arguably the most unusual 24-Hour race in the nearly 50-year history of the endurance classic: not only was the race moved from spring to fall due to Covid, but there were also few spectators allowed at the Nürburgring. The two-minute film depicting the nearly empty grandstands and the barely filled paddock with the message, "Stay strong, it will go on." The film is aimed at those who were unable to attend the race last year and emphasises that it is the over 200,000 fans who make this race so special.
The visually refined winner's film was created in partnership with filmmaker Tobias Kahler, and is Falken's eighth consecutive collaboration with him.
