Tyre warranty differs for each tyre manufacturer depending on the type of tyres, the utility of the tyres and compatibility.
When we usually get tyres, we are promised that the tyres can handle certain load and also a life period but due to sheer bad luck, we might end up throwing away the tyre due to unexpected damage or error. At this juncture, we could claim for a replacement for the damaged tyre with the help of the manufacturers warranty certificate that customers get while buying tyres.
Here are some of the type of warranty that customers get while purchasing tyres.

Tread life warranty:
Tread life warranty is provided by the manufacturer to the customers which usually covers 5 to 6 years from the date of purchase. The warranty guarantees a certain life period for the tyres. If the tyres wear out before the mentioned period in the warranty then the tyres you have purchased will be replaced.
To claim new tyres or to receive the money, the dealership decides the amount based on the difference between the actual kilometers that the tyre provided with the tyre life period that was guaranteed by the manufacturer.
In order to have the claim approved, the customer would have to show the obvious which is the warranty card, then the service record of the vehicle where it shows that tyre rotation was done.
note: Some types of tyres such as winter tyres and off-road tyres will not be provided with such a warranty.
Trial period warranty:
Few manufacturers allow the customers to try out their tyres to have a feel of the tyres. It is usually 30 to 45 days of trial period and this factor depends on the manufacturers. The whole purpose of this is to let you purchase tyres from the dealership. If you do not like the tyres given for trial then you could get another variant of tyre from the manufacturer.
Defect warranty :
A defect warranty as the name suggest is a warranty on the materials used for production of the tyre that the customer has purchased. This warranty usually extends till 4 to 5 years from the date of purchase. This warranty works if any defects occur or any abnormality to the tyres are caused not by mechanical parts of the vehicle or due to lack of maintenance.
Road hazard warranty:
Few manufacturers offer a limited road hazzard warranty which covers the tyres for the first year from the date of purchase. This warranty covers your tyres if it is damaged by a bad section of road that contains a pothole or any other any other road hazard. The tyre cannot be in repairable condition to be eligible to attain for this warranty.
