Globally recognized tyre maker, Ceat Tyre introduces all-women operated tyre shoppes, an initiative to support women to begin a new venture. It is the first such shoppe opened in Bhatinda, Punjab. The company has confirmed that ten more such shoppe will be opened across various states of India within the span of few months.
According to Ceat Tyre, the Shoppes will be owned, managed and operated by a team of trained women. It is an initiative giving equal opportunity to women to make a difference in the male-dominated tyre industry.
All Women CEAT Shoppe will have women workforce who are well versed in service related assistance for its customers. This will include wheel changing, balancing, alignment services and operating various machinery. Ceat tyre will be providing training sessions to the women workforce too.
This initiative is meant to provide more employment opportunities to women and create a space where they can work without any discrimination and inequality.

Amit Tolani, chief marketing officer, Ceat, said "Ceat recognises the value of gender diversity at the workplace. With 300-plus CEAT Shoppes in India, the all-women shoppes are authorised one-stop-shop for vehicular assistance for sales and service to customers.
