There's no doubt that the Auto Expo 2020 was home to some of the most mesmerising and technologically advanced automotive machines in the country. However, hidden away in the grounds behind the halls, the expo this year was also host to an undiscovered gem. A gem so different and unique from the rest of the expo, that it became impossible for people to let it go unnoticed.
Coming all the way from Jaipur, India's first and only unique automobile art platform -- 'Cartist' was at the Auto Expo to showcase sustainability in a way that would baffle most out there. The exhibitor set up shop in the ground behind the main halls to showcase how the world of automobiles and art can blend together effortlessly to create a sustainable auto-art ecosystem.
Intent on reducing the waste from older cars and tyres, the automobile art exhibitor set up a section called 'The World Tyre Zone' on a section of the ground. This zone housed some of the most innovative and creative upcycling solutions we have ever witnessed when it comes to old cars and tyres. One of the ways they upcycled was by using different car parts, wheels and tyres to make beautiful household furniture. Check out some of these pictures we took at the zone:

Part of a larger initiative known as "Sustain by Cartist" -- the bid is to reuse older cars and tyres in order to decrease their carbon footprint by reducing waste, and using the same materials to build something completely new.

The beauty of it is that none of the items above actually looked recycled. Unless you look closely, you can't really make out that those are parts of a car or a tyre that's on the furniture. The quality and craftsmanship were really top notch.
Apart from the tyre zone, Cartist had also arranged a 'Children Art Zone' at the Auto Expo for the children to enjoy and participate. The kids were were given cutouts in the shape of cars and asked to create something artistic.
Special selfie points were also arranged at the ground where visitors could click selfies with automobiles that have been painted or worked on by local artists. The exhibitors also arranged several workshops related to auto-art and a live painting competition for young artists.
