As per a survey by Automatica, Robots will have a key role in Kick starting the economy in the Post COVID-19 world.
Many of the Industries, including warehouse operations, tyre manufacturing and design, plastic injection molding etc will be taking the help of robots similar to the tyre giant Goodyear. Currently, the company is using data, AI and "digital twins" in creating more reliable and sophisticated tyres.

Newest developments in the tyre industry:

Chris Helsel, CTO at Goodyear recently stated that the inspiration for tyres being seen as a smarter component of cars is the electric and automated car boom.
Tyres are considered to be one of the most high-maintenance components of modern vehicles since it has to be checked and changed on a regular period of time.
Decently priced tyres exist in the market for almost any model of car, but Goodyear is focusing on creating a permanent tyre that never need to be changed. However, traditional tyres will continue to be used in the near future but drivers can rely on AI tyre systems that analyze the way each driver handles a vehicle in the near future also.
The smart tyre which will come in the near future will feature rechargeable pellets that dispense synthetic material which alters the composition of the tyre as required by the driver.
Automation in the tyre manufacturing scenario:
Automation can speed up the process of tyre manufacturing and can effectively reduce the cost of production. Automation begins with storage that is, different raw materials being placed automatically into storage and also the retrieval systems.
Furthermore, these raw materials are delivered via automation to different sectors within the manufacturing unit. Components can also be sent automatically with the help of cranes via automatic storage and retrieval.
Finally, automated quality checks is also possible as well as order and shipping process. For example, orders can be processed and placed in a vehicle based on the details of order and delivery address.
