Ferrari has picked Bridgestone as the tyre supplier for the Italian manufacturer's next GT car, the Ferrari Roma, the company revealed. Ferrari wanted a tyre that could handle the Roma's 620 horsepower and rear-wheel drive in both dry and rainy circumstances. The ground-breaking Bridgestone Potenza Sport has evolved as a result of a collaboration with Ferrari to meet the Ferrari Roma and its specific requirements.
Developed to deliver high-end performance
The Bridgestone Potenza Sport was custom-developed by Bridgestone to maximise lateral and longitudinal grip, as well as wet and hydroplaning performance. It offers best-in-class dry performance as well as superb wet weather grip
Bridgestone created a specialised top tread compound and rear tyre pattern geometry-void distribution to maintain the Bridgestone Potenza Sport's remarkable wet weather performance while keeping the tyre's dry handling qualities in order to meet such high goals. Bridgestone Potenza Sport was developed with care to guarantee that it has the dynamic performance qualities that are necessary.

A fantastic case study for collaboration:
Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres in sizes 245/35ZR20 91Y and 285/35ZR20 (100Y) are now available for the Ferrari Roma. The tyre was designed and manufactured at the Bridgestone EMIA Technology and Innovation Center in Rome, Italy, which specialises in high-tech, specialist tyres. Although the plant is best known for producing Bridgestone EMIA prototype tyres, the Ferrari Roma project has seen it produce OE tyres for the first time, which will be installed directly on the vehicle when it hits the road.
