Bridgestone and Penske Truck Leasing (Penske) have renewed their strategic partnership to test, develop, and deploy Bridgestone advanced technology and mobility solutions for the commercial segment in the United States and Canada, with a focus on providing fleets with more cost-effective and sustainable results. Penske will also continue to be a preferred client of Bridgestone commercial tyres and Bandag retread tyres as part of the arrangement.

With this contract extension, the two firms will continue to collaborate on technology and products that will help fleet mobility and fleet management become more effective and sustainable. When opposed to ultra-low-cost, single-use commercial tyres, Bandag retread tyres, which Penske uses as a major component of the relationship, offer considerable environmental benefits such as reduced CO2 emissions, natural resource exploitation, water consumption, air pollution, and land use. Penske was able to reduce tyre waste by 11.5 million pounds in 2020 as a result of the partnership and the usage of Bandag retread tyres.
