Apollo Tyres Conducts Global Partners’ Summit 2021

The Global Partners' Summit 2021, hosted by Apollo Tyres, is all set to focus on the use of recycled and renewable materials. The theme of Apollo Tyres Global Partners' Summit 2021, which was held virtually with global raw material business partners was ‘Sustainability amid Uncertainty – the Challenges Ahead.' The summit had a huge response, with over 700 people attending from 270 different organisations from 30 different countries.

The Apollo Tyres Ltd and its Corporate Procurement Team presented the ‘Apollo Sustainability Procurement Vision,' as well as a plan to enhance the use of recycled and renewable materials in the future. The Sustainability Panel, which included Global Chief Sustainability Officers and Stefano Savi, Director, Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber (GPSNR), examined how stakeholders may work together to embrace circularity in business.

Sharing the company's vision of "Driving Progress, Together," Apollo Tyres Ltd's Senior Management team asked raw material business partners to commit to pursuing the "Go Green" agenda, ramping up their capacities and de-risking their supply chains while continuing to focus on quality and delivery of their supplies.

The Apollo Sustainability Awards 2021 were presented as part of the summit to Thai Eastern Group, Oriental Carbon and Chemicals Ltd, India, and Birla Carbon, India, for being sustainability trailblazers. The coveted Apollo Emerging Partner Award 2021 went to M/s Pabitra Das of Assam, India. The Apollo Gold Partner Awards 2021 were given to Century Enka, India, JG Chemicals, India, and PPG Industries, the Netherlands, for Supply Chain Excellence, Quality Champion, and Service Excellence, respectively.
