Ahead of this weekend's FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) - 8 Hours of Portimao, Goodyear is pleased to announce that leading LMP2 driver Antonio Felix da Costa has been chosen as a Brand Ambassador.
Da Costa competes in the World Endurance Championship for Jota Sport and joined the British team in 2019. On Goodyear's return to the French endurance classic, he was part of the team that finished second in the 24 Hours of Le Mans last year. The Portuguese driver is the current FIA Formula E World Champion and has extensive experience in single-seaters, touring cars, and endurance racing.
Following its comeback to the WEC the previous season, Goodyear was named the official tyre supplier for the LMP2 class at the start of the 2021 season. In the 2019 Shanghai round, Da Costa and Jota Sport co-drivers Anthony Davidson and Roberto Gonzalez gave Goodyear its first victory since its comeback.

Da Costa will become an official Goodyear Brand Ambassador as a result of the new partnership, which will let motorsport fans to better engage with the driver and see more content from him on the brand's social media channels. There will also be a variety of exclusive material and giveaways made in collaboration with the famous racer. The festivities will be streamed live on the @GoodyearEurope Instagram feed and the Goodyear Facebook page.
