The all-new 2021 Ford EcoSport will be launched soon in India. The vehicle is said to hit the showroom floors in the second week of March 2021. We have also received the news that the new Ford EcoSport will not have the spare wheel which was typically factory-fit on to the tail-gate of the vehicle. Yes, you heard it right. The Ecosport will not have a spare wheel instead, it is believed that Ford will be providing a TPMS system and a puncture repair kit as standard in its new avatar.
The vehicle was caught on camera during its TVC shoot and it had no spare wheel mounted on to the back like its predecessor had. However, not to worry because the beefy and muscular look of the vehicle has not been compromised. The vehicle now gets a chrome strip on the boot and a license plate holder in the place where the spare wheel used to go.
The 2020 Ford EcoSport is still available with the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5L diesel engines which delivers 121bhp with 149Nm of power and 99bhp with 215Nm power respectively. The vehicle comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox standard and a 6-speed automatic transmission which is exclusively offered on the multiple feature-loaded petrol variants.

The new 2021 Ford EcoSport's design is inspired by the global-spec model. The car has remained a favorite among auto enthusiasts for its unique design and best-in-class features. You get everything from a touchscreen infotainment system to a nice sunroof which makes it spacious and airy inside the cabin. The vehicle is a delight to drive thanks to its drivetrain options. In terms of safety, the Ford Ecosport gets 6 airbags in the top-spec model along with few gizmos like ABS and EBD.
In Other News, the Ford and Mahindra Tie-up has been called off. The joint venture would have resulted in one of the best vehicles that could have rolled out proudly. However, we are expecting that in the future, the two companies could come forward with common interests to build the cars of the future.
