2021 Chairman And Vice- Chairman Of ATMA Has Been Elected

Managing Director of JK Tyre and Industries, Anshuman Singhania and Mohan Kumar, Executive Director of Michelin India have been elected as the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of ATMA, Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association.

About Chairman and Vice-Chairman of ATMA

Anshuman Singhania: The newly elected ATMA Chairman is a graduate from Oxford Brookes University in UK and an alumnus of London Business School. He kickstarted his career as an apprentice from the shopfloor and gradually made his breakthrough by attaining positions in Planning, Production, Quality Control, marketing, Stores and Purchase, Finance, product development and much more. He is well known for implementing and establishing the latest technologies in the units for creating the best end result in the manufacturing process.

Mohan Kumar: is a graduate from NIT Trichy and a post-graduate from IIM Bangalore. He started his career at Michelin in 2005 and assumed various positions which were majorly leadership roles. He has worked in both Michelin India and Michelin USA. Since December 2017, he has been Head of Business of Michelin for India and the SAARC countries.

ATMA: Is the national body that represents the entire tyre sector in India. It is a representative body of the biggest eleven tyre companies in India that accounts for over 90% of tyre production in the country.

ATMA represents the Rs 60,000-crore automotive tyre industry in India. It has 11 large tyre companies comprising of Indian and international tyre majors, representing over 90 percent of the production of tyres in India as members.

These include Apollo Tyres, Birla Tyres, Bridgestone India, Ceat, Continental India, Goodyear India, JK Tyre & Industries, Michelin, MRF, TVS Tyres and Yokohama.

The Association acts as the industry's interface with the media, opinion leaders, NGOs and other Industry associations around the world so as to present the perspective of Indian tyre industry on different issues.
