Goodyear Has Become The Nürburgring's Official Tyre Partner

The Nürburgring has revealed that two of its circuit parts will bear the Goodyear brand ahead of the legendary ADAC TOTAL 24h race in early June, extending a partnership that has grown for over a decade. The old "short loop" on the Eifel Grand Prix circuit will now be known as the "Goodyear loop." Furthermore, the hairpin on the circuit's south side will be renamed the "Goodyear turn."

In the future, commercial displays, such as the distinctive timing tower on the inside of the "Goodyear turn," will also show the famed Goodyear Wingfoot symbol, emphasising the legendary race track's close association with the popular tyre company. Another indication of the greater collaboration is the Nürburgring affiliate mark, which Goodyear will use in upcoming communications.

"Everyone praises what the Nürburgring has tested" - anyone who has ever visited the Nürburgring knows the historic advertising board that still adorns the Nürburgring's historic paddock today. And the name still says it all: at the world's longest race track, just over 25 km long, important research is still being done in the development and optimisation of vehicles and tyres. Goodyear also tests its sportiest products from the UUHP segment ("Ultra-ultra-high-Performance") here.

The track operators were also impressed by the durability of these tyres. Since the beginning of the year, Goodyear has become the Nürburgring's official tyre affiliate, outfitting both service and business vehicles, as well as the Nürburgring Driving Academy, off-road park, and ring kartbahn. This collaboration also has a visual appearance on site, not least at the start and end, where the Goodyear VIP Lounge serves as a luxury event position above the pit lane.
