Ellis Jones has been named vice president and chief sustainability officer at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, reporting to Chris Helsel, senior vice president, global operations and chief technology officer, as of September 2.
"Sustainability has an increasingly important role in Goodyear’s future, from the perspectives of our associates, our investors and our customers,” said Helsel. "Ellis Jones is the right leader to drive sustainability in Goodyear and its products, organization and across our manufacturing footprint to meet growing expectations."
Jones has spent more than 30 years with Goodyear, most recently as vice president, Global EHS&S and Business Continuity. He also worked in finance, manufacturing, supply chain, and marketing at Goodyear's Akron headquarters, where he led race tyre manufacturing.

Jones graduated from Hampton University with a bachelor's degree in accounting and The Ohio State University with a master's degree in business operational excellence.
